"The ABCs of the BBQ Roundup"
Admission/Ticket Information:
$3.00 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Freedom Fest button wearers receive $1.00 discount off admission.
Artwork Competition:
Sixteen entries were submitted for the 3rd Annual BBQ Artwork Competition, which was sponsored by StratosFour. The winner received a $500 cash prize.
The winning design will serve as the visual representation for the 2008 BBQ Roundup. It will be used on staff t-shirts, in print and broadcast advertising, on posters, billboards, event programs and a number of other marketing materials.
This year’s logo was created by Dan Alpers. A professional graphic design artist and founder of a volunteer youth gaming group – Central Corridor Gamers (www.ccgamers.org), Dan is a graduate of Cedar Rapids Washington High School and St. Ambrose University in Davenport. His design was also the winning entry for the Freedom Festival’s 2008 logo competition.

They're coming!! This year we will have eight of the country's top BBQ vendors! This year's vendors include Butch's Smack Your Lips BBQ, Chicago Barbecue Co., Famous Dave's, Johnson's BBQ, Pigfoot BBQ Company, Porky N Beans, Texas Thunder and Sgt. Oinks Pit BBQ. Entertainment:
In addition to the best BBQ around, the BBQ Roundup is thrilled to bring the best in local, regional and national live entertainment. Check back for the complete entertainment line-up.
There's more than good food and good music at this year's BBQ Roundup - there will be four days of non-stop fun! Plans include a carnival, local art market, classic car show, game zone, monster truck rides and various other family-oriented attractions.
